The Universe

These stories are rooted in Middle Tennessee — land I know. Land I grew up in. Land I still live in.

When I write, I go back to a time before cell phones and search engines. Before everything could be Googled and solved. A time when people handled their own business — and sometimes buried it.

If you’re familiar with Franklin, Grundy, Marion, Coffee, Moore, Lincoln Counties, Cheatham, or Davidson Counties you’ll recognize pieces of them here. The roads. The towns. The way people talk when the doors are closed.

Some locations are real.
Others aren’t.

Sometimes the names change.
